Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 September 2026
1. Agreement
By downloading or using the TrustStep app (“App”) you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs your licence to the App. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is published by Joel Filipe Pereira Ribeiro, an individual developer based in Oberkorn, Luxembourg. Contact: support@truststep.eu.
2. What TrustStep does
TrustStep helps you assess messages, links, QR codes, screenshots, emails, calendar invitations and phone calls for signs of fraud, and provides recovery guidance. It is a decision-support tool. It does not guarantee that content is safe, that every fraud attempt will be detected, or that any loss can be recovered, and it cannot reverse payments or unlock accounts.
3. No account
The App does not require an account. Your history is stored on your device; you are responsible for your device and its backups.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the App unlawfully, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the analysis service, automate requests to it, or use it to harm others.
5. Subscription
After the introduction, the TrustStep app asks for an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple: Individual or Family (shared through Apple Family Sharing), monthly or annual. Eligible new subscribers start with a free trial and are charged only if they do not cancel before it ends. The subscription renews at the end of each period until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period in your Apple Account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. If the App Store cannot provide the subscription options, the app opens without asking.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, TrustStep is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms; the current version is always available on this page.
